Great question! Though the Bento Three and Bento Five lunchboxes look the same on the outside and are the same size, they have different configurations inside!

The Bento Three has 3 compartments and is good for larger items like a full sandwich or wrap.

The Bento Five has 5 compartments, so it’s great for packing more variety or for ‘grazers’ who prefer small amounts of different foods.

HOW DO I USE MY LUNCH BOX?

The Little Lunch Box Co Bento Three & Five lunch boxes are designed to pack a range of fruits, veggies, snacks, sandwiches and more. These bento boxes have no removable parts which makes them super easy to wash and means no parts go missing!

You can also add the Bento Dividers and Bento Cups to pack more variety in the lunch box.

‘Wet’ foods such as dips and yoghurt can be safely packed next to dry foods in our Bento lunch boxes.

Bento Three and Bento Five Lunch Boxes can be hand wash or washed on the top rack of the dishwasher after each use and then left to air dry.

HOW MUCH FOOD DOES THE LUNCH BOX HOLD?

The Bento Three and Five lunch boxes both hold 980mL which is just under 4 cups of food.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY LUNCH BOX?

Little Lunch Box Co products are all made of durable hard wearing BPA-free, food safe materials. We recommend hand washing in hot soapy water and drying in an open, upright (like a tent) position overnight.

HOW DO I STORE MY LUNCH BOX?

We recommend that you always store your lunch box with the lid open when not in use to allow the seal to fully dry. Storing your lunch box with the lid closed can result in mould growth.

CAN I PRE-PACK THE LUNCH BOX THE NIGHT BEFORE?

Yes! Because each compartment is airtight, our Bento lunch boxes can be packed the night before and kept in the fridge ready to go in the morning.

IS THE LUNCH BOX LEAKPROOF?

The Bento Three and Five lunch boxes are leakproof for wet foods only, like dips and yoghurts, thicker sauces etc. They are NOT leak proof for liquids. For that reason, foods such as watermelon and citrus fruits may need a paper towel folded up at the bottom to soak up any additional liquids to prevent liquids from crossing over to other compartments of the lunch box.

DO THE LUNCH BOXES COME WITH A WARRANTY?

Of course! We have a full 12 month manufacturers warranty on our Little Lunch Box Co products. Wear and tear is a normal part of any product and common with products made for, and used by, children. Wear and tear or damage caused by drops are not a fault created during the manufacturing process and will not be claimable under our manufacturers warranty.

CAN I PUT LITTLE LUNCH BOX CO PRODUCTS IN THE MICROWAVE OR FREEZER?

Our Lunch Boxes are not designed to be used in the microwave or freezer.

Please note that there may be seasonal fluctuation (eg: Christmas and Back to School) that may mean our dispatch times are longer than usual. Occasionally there may be events that occur which are outside our control in which case there may be a delay in packing your order. We will endeavor to dispatch orders as quickly as we can. Where your order contains a pre-order item, your entire order will be shipped once the pre-order item arrives. Where your order contains a personalised item, your personalised item will be sent separately to the remainder of your order. Please refer to the manufacturing times on each personalised product listing.

From time to time, where a product is not in stock within our main warehouse, it may be shipped to you separately from another warehouse. Where this occurs, you will receive your order in more than one parcel. Please do not be alarmed if part of your order appears to be missing as it will most likely be on its way to your separately.
